Settings
In BundesMessenger you can adapt and design your profile according to your needs. This is possible on a smartphone, tablet, or from the PC client.
You also have access to all BundesMessenger users in your organization – regardless of whether you have already saved them as a contact. You can save them as favorites in the app if needed.
Customize your profile
Section titled Customize your profile- Open Settings by tapping the
icon in the top left
- In the My Profile menu
you can add or update your profile picture at any time

- Under Options
you can adjust the default color or font size. You can also define which details are displayed in your messages and chat rooms, such as read receipts
- In the Security & Privacy section
you can change your PIN, enable access via biometric data (fingerprint), and manage blocked contacts if needed

- At the top of the menu, you can add or update a profile picture at any time

- Under Theme you can adjust the default color
- In the Security section you can enable Face ID or change your PIN

Notifications in BundesMessenger
Section titled Notifications in BundesMessenger- Open Settings by tapping the icon/profile picture in the top left
- With the option Notifications on this device you allow BundesMessenger to display notifications on your smartphone
- In the Default notifications menu you can define what kind of information triggers a direct notification
- The option Notification times allows you to not receive notifications outside the configured times
- In the Notifications section you can adjust global notifications
- Open Settings by tapping the icon/profile picture in the top left
- Open the Notifications menu
- With the option Enable notifications for this session you allow BundesMessenger to display notifications on your smartphone
- The option Notification times allows you to not receive notifications outside the configured times
- In the further notification settings you can customize notifications individually (e.g., mute for certain message types)
- In the Notification configuration section you can create different profiles
- Loud notifications with sound, lock screen icon, and vibration
- Silent notifications without sound or other interruptions (messages may be missed)
- Open Settings by tapping the icon/profile picture in the top left
- Tap Notifications
- In the displayed menu you can adjust your notification options in detail if needed
- The option Enable notifications for this account enables or disables notifications for all your BundesMessenger devices
- The option Enable notifications for this device enables or disables notifications for the currently used PC
Manage contacts in BundesMessenger
Section titled Manage contacts in BundesMessengerYou can set individual contacts/chats as favorites.
- Hover your mouse over a contact/chat
- Click the Room Options button
- Click
to mark the contact as a favorite
- The contact/chat will now be displayed at the top of your chat list
- Hold your finger on a conversation (a contact) to open the extended function menu
- Add contacts by tapping
to your favorites overview (tapping again reverses the action)
- Favorites will be displayed at the top of your message overview
- Hold your finger on a conversation (a contact) to open the extended function menu
- Add contacts using the Favorite option
to your favorites list (tapping again reverses the action)
- An additional Favorites section will be displayed in your message overview
