Using BuMX

We have fundamentally enhanced and simplified the user experience of BundesMessengerX. The most important innovations and changes we have compiled below. You will find all your previous messages and rooms – as usual – clearly arranged on the start page.

The listed changes apply to the iOS and Android apps – we have aligned both with each other where technically possible.
Sending a new message to a new contact

1. Open the Messages menu, which you will now find at the top right
2. Enter the contact’s name directly in the displayed search field
3. Tap on the desired contact in the search results to start a direct message

Creating a new chat room

1. Open the Messages menu
2. Tap on New Room
3. In the next step, you can already – optionally – invite participants to the room
4. Define the name, information about the room content, and the room type (you can find more information on room types and roles in the Chat Rooms section on this page)
5. Tap on Create at the top right

Joining a public chat room

1. Open the Messages menu
2. Tap on Room Directory
3. Enter the name of the room you are looking for directly in the displayed search field
4. Tap on the desired room in the search results
5. The room information will be displayed – tap on Join Room at the bottom

Settings
We have rearranged and, in some cases, revised the individual options in the Settings menu. The basic structure has not changed.

Pinning messages in rooms for everyone
If you have the role of a Moderator or Administrator in a room, you can pin messages in rooms for everyone. The pinned messages are then displayed at the top of the room.

1. Open the room where you want to pin the message
2. Press and hold your finger on the message you want to pin
3. Select the option Pin for everyone
4. The message will now be displayed at the top of the room overview for everyone
5. To unpin the message, press and hold your finger on the message and select Unpin for everyone
